Achill, on the West Coast of Ireland, offers the visitor spectacular views, natural landscapes and several Blue Flag beaches. The Great Western Greenway offers cyclists and walkers amazing scenery on this fantastic new 49km route. Running from Achill to Westport, it is the longest off-road walking & cycling trail in Ireland.

Achill’s activities include surfing, kayaking, sailing, horse riding, scuba diving, kite surfing, abseiling, climbing, hillwalking, swimming, fishing/angling, golf, cycling and much more. If you want relaxation, this is the place for painting, photography, garden tours and island trips, craft and art centres/galleries, and spiritual/health and sports workshops.

Achill is accessible by the Michael Davitt Bridge, built in 2008.
