How to Win

If you enjoyed a wonderful and unexpected experience during your Ireland Trip, that only happened because you picked up a visitor brochure, tell us and let us know why it was so special and you could win great prizes.

Perhaps, you discovered an attraction, an activity, a tour, an adventure or a dining experience that was not just “good”… but was really amazing.

Tell us your story, and why it was so amazing. Perhaps it was the place, or a person or people, or a special event or a ‘fun happening’ or the overall experience.

Or, perhaps it was a special discovery, or an unexpected happening, that occurred en-route to where you were travelling to in Ireland, and all because you picked up a visitor brochure.

Your story can be as short or as long as you choose it to be – from a few sentences to a page or more.

Please ensure you mention the brochure you picked up and where and when the special ‘unexpected experience’ occurred, along with your contact details. Please send your story, including your contact details, to arrive on or before Friday, October 5, 2018. However, we recommend that you send it as soon as possible as there are some extra ‘early bird’ prizes to be won!

The best ‘Tale of the Wonderfully Unexpected’, well told, will win a 3-night stay at a choice of spectacularly located Irish Lighthouses. In addition, ALL entries will be entered into a draw for three ‘Hampers of Tickets’ to Ireland’s Premier Attractions.  See Prizes Below.

Terms and Conditions

• You must be aged 18 or over to enter the competition.
• Submissions must be made no later than Friday, October 5, 2018.
• A panel of judges will adjudicate and select the overall winner. Their decision is final. Plus, 3 runners-up will be drawn from ALL entries received.
• Sending a story constitutes permission to Glance Promotions or Visitor International to publish it, if we choose, using ONLY your first name, hometown and country of residence.
• The prizes are as stated above and may not be exchanged. The Lucky winners will be notified on Monday, October 22, 2018. The ‘Stay in a Lighthouse’ Holiday and the Hampers of Tickets can be availed of within 12 months of winning (dates subject to availability in the case of the Lighthouse Holiday Prize).
