Riverdance 30 – The New Generation celebrates the show’s incredible 30th year milestone, with a special anniversary tour which plays at the Gaiety Theatre Dublin for the summer season.
The spectacular production rejuvenates the much-loved original show with new innovative choreography and costumes and state of the art lighting, projection and motion graphics showcasing the new generation of exceptional performers, all of whom were not born when the show began 30 years ago.

Riverdance began as the interval act in the 1994 Eurovision Song Contest. This electrifying and innovative seven-minute dance piece was then developed into a full-length stage show by Producer Moya Doherty, Composer Bill Whelan and Director John McColgan. From the moment it first graced the world stages, the show’s mesmerising fusion of Irish and international dancing, music, and breathtaking visuals captured the hearts of audiences. The explosive energy and unparalleled precision of the dancers and musicians left audiences in awe and established Riverdance as a cultural sensation. Riverdance went on to achieve extraordinary success and has been seen live by over 30 million people with over 16,000 performances in in 49 countries. The show has been broadcast to a global audience of more than 3.5 billion people.
